Winchester Large Pistol Primers
Winchester Large Pistol Primers #7 (10 Trays of 100) These primers don’t rust and work in any weather. They light quickly and reliably in any shooting situation. Primers are constantly and carefully tested for consistency and sensitivity at temperatures and conditions that are far outside the normal range of use. Winchester guarantees better sensitivity for more positive firing in all guns, carefully controlled weights of primer mixtures, consistency in size and quality, precise measurements and tolerances for anvil heights, and stability in extremes of temperature and humidity.
There are markings on the packaging for Standard or Magnum pistol loads. Before reloading, check your reloading manual.
WHAT ARE LARGE PISTOL PRIMERS FOR?
No matter what kind of gun you have, big or small, you have to have primers. When you reload a gun, accuracy is key, and primers help you do that.
Its main job is to light the charge powder inside the cartridge of the gun. If the slugs don’t have primers, they will get stuck in the barrel.
Inside the metal cap of the primers, there are parts that can be touched. When the shooting pin of the small gun hits the preliminary cap, the preparing synthetic is squashed inside the metal iron block and cap. So, the primers send hot gas through the glimmer opening and into the cartridge case. This raises the temperature and pressure inside it, which sets off the force powder.
Most of the time, barium nitrate, antimony sulfide, and lead styphnate are used for these priming parts. These man-made substances work together to give off heat and gas.
No matter what brand you buy, all primers will improve your shooting and reloading.
